Are there fees involved with everydayhero?


Everydayhero is a for profit company, providing online fundraiser software and services to not-for-profits in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. 

Our sole aim is to make giving easier, more accessible and more enjoyable for Charities and their Supporters. Through our giving technology and partnership with major community fundraising events, charities of all sizes can experience greater reach and awareness, enhanced fundraising capabilities and risk reduction, which ultimately greatly reduces the cost of fundraising overall and provides access to more fundraising opportunities.

The service fees associated with donations through our platform cover a range of operating costs to our business associated with providing this software to our charity partners.

 These include:

  • Continual development and maintenance of our giving technology and donations engine
  • Staffing our Support team who manage and respond to all technical, general and event related enquiries on behalf of Charities from Supporter and Donors, 
  • Administration including the issuing of receipts, processing of donations and remittance of funds to the charities and
  • Risk related to fraud detection, protection of data and legal compliance (we have a team dedicated to this to ensure that our all Charity partners adhere to the laws associated with fundraising in their state).  

everydayhero deducts a small 5.5% standard administration fee from each gross donation made to your charity of choice. This may vary when charities have elected to participate in premium third party events. Additional to this administration fee, a payment-processing fee is also deducted from the gross donation with the fee varying dependent of the payment type (VISA/Mastercard/AMEX, and PayPal).
