How Should I Process Cash Donations I Have Received?

If you have collected cash from your donors and would like to add it to your fundraising page, there are two ways you can do this depending on whether each of your donors would like their donation to show up separately with their names next to each donation on your fundraising page.

-> If they DO want to see their individual donations appear on your page, you'll need to:

Use the 'Give Now' button to donate each amount they have given you separately, entering that friend's contact details into the donation form and choosing the 'Pay by Cash, Cheque or BPAY' option.

You will then need to download and print each off the Pledge Forms for each donation using the button in the top left of the 'Thank You Screen' and take them to Australia Post who will process each amount separately.

Once the amount is processed successfully by Australia Post, each of your friends will receive a receipt for their donation to their email.

-> If it doesn't matter to your donors whether they appear as individual donors on your page, then you can:

Use the 'Give Now' button to donate the total amount you received from your friends in cash, entering your own contact details into the donation form and then choosing the 'Pay by Cash, Cheque or BPAY' option.

You will then need to download and print off just the single Pledge Form for that bulk donation and take it to Australia Post who will process it in total.

If you choose this option, you may want to add your friends names (with commas in between) into the 'Nickname' box on the donation form so that all their names show up next to the bulk amount. This is a nice way of acknowledging that they've all supported you without having to process the donations individually.
